Craigwiel Gardens is situated on land that is part of Treaty 29, The Huron Tract Purchase, which is the traditional territory of the Anishinaabek Nation (Ojibwe/Chippewa, Odawa and Potawatomi).
Our active work toward reconciliation takes place through learning and community building. We commit ourselves to gain knowledge and forge new and culturally safe relationships.
We acknowledge the enduring presence and deep traditional knowledge and philosophies of the Indigenous People who continue to live here.
