Portrait of Jennifer Gilles

Jennifer loved her job as Director of Care and retired from there. Jennifer’s professional experience combined with a true love for Craigwiel Gardens has made her a very valuable asset to our Board of Directors and organization.

Jennifer Gilles- Board Member since 1992

Jennifer lived in Ailsa Craig for 44 years. She is a Registered Nurse who began her career in a hospital setting, followed by a move to Long Term Care at Strathmere Lodge where she worked first as a Charge Nurse, and then for 27 years as Director of Care.

She has enjoyed community volunteer involvement including Parkhill WW Public School and North Middlesex District High School. She has been a member of the Nairn Mennonite Church for 38 years. Irene was introduced to Craigwiel Gardens in 1979 when she worked as a part-time secretary.

Irene’s professional career includes 18 years of administrative work in nursing homes and foster care agencies in North Middlesex and 23 years as a Client Services Co-ordinator for a private rehabilitation company.

Portrait of Marilyn Gingerich

She has volunteered in several capacities, including starting Meals on Wheels in East Toronto, drop ins for seniors, planning programs for families, seniors in apartments, retirement living and long-term care residents. Marilyn has served on numerous boards and she currently operates a tour company for seniors.

Marilyn’s professional career was as a teacher in Toronto. And later as the Program Director at a multi-generational community in East York. Marilyn’s father was very instrumental in starting Craigwiel Gardens.

Wayne leads our management team and staff to providing quality care and services to our residents, clients, tenants, families and the surrounding community.

Wayne Williams - Chief Executive Officer

As Chief Executive Officer, Wayne is responsible for overseeing all operations for our Long Term Care Home, Adult Day Program and Apartments.

Jacqui assists in finance with Accounts Payable and Receivables, and is an integral part of the processing of payroll.

Jacqui Moraal - Administrative Assitant

Jacqui is usually the first smiling face you see when you enter Craigwiel Gardens, and the welcoming voice on the phone when you call in. Jacqui offers admin support to all management, staff as well as to residents, tenants, clients, families or anyone that may visit Craigwiel Gardens.

Long Term Care

Carrie is also responsible for adherence to the respective and relevant legislation, the Resident’s Bill of Rights, the standards set by the College of Nurses of Ontario, and the Home’s mission and policies, always focused on the Resident Centred Care Model of Care.

As Director of Care, Carrie is responsible for the management and leadership of resident care and services. She works to meet the needs and expectations of the residents in accordance with the standards and guidelines of the Long Term Care Act.

Sarah is also the Health & Safety Officer, working with the management and staff, Ministry of Labour and WSIB to ensure a healthy workplace. She leads the Safety Group initiative, which CWG has been a part of for 5 years.

Sarah McComb - Director of Food Services, Health & Safety Officer

As Director of Food Services, Sarah manages the kitchen, cooks, dietary aides and that daily nutrition is a priority. Sarah works with our Registered Dietician and diligently ensures that we have healthy choices and residents’ favourites available on the menu.

John works with our contractors to keep our equipment running smoothly and efficiently, and troubleshoots any areas that need attention. John is responsible for the fire safety of the facility, coordinating fire drills and working with the fire.

John Hamilton - Director of Environmental Services, Property Manager

John oversees the housekeeping and laundry departments and their staff, as well as maintenance and property management for the Long Term Care, Day Centre and Apartments.

Nicole is also our Infection Control Nurse, communicating with the Public Health Unit regarding outbreaks.

Nicole Flieschauer - RN, Assistant Director of Care

Nicole is a support to the Director of Care and the nursing department, handling admissions of all new residents and respite stays. She works in a supportive role, assisting the Director of Care in many administrative areas.

Adult Day Programs

Sarah is an integral part in helping Craigwiel Gardens grow. Delveloping interactive day programs that engage our residents and community.

Sarah Campbell - Director of Adult Day Program

Sarah manages the Adult Day Program, overseeing staffing, admissions to the program, the budgets, as well as any submissions that need to be made to the SWLHIN on behalf of the Day Program.
